There are times that the only way you can do something is alone – that waiting on the convenience of others means that a lot of opportunities will pass you by
Religion was invented when the first con man met the first fool.” ― Mark Twain
Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.
I will be heading out this time next week to get an early start. 5 days in the woods and 5 nights in the hammock! Cant wait!!!

I expect to be at Stone Door at this time next week. Mon nite I'll be hanging on the FT next to the Suwannee River. Please have the rain be done by the time I get there!
Yesterday, in getting things together for the upcoming trip, I realized I have made a huge mistake. I double scheduled myself for next weekend. Somehow in my enthusiasm to make this trip it got written on the calendar for this weekend rather than the correct date. The other trip had some date juggling and I simply mis-scheduled myself. The only consolation is I'll be on the Suwannee River paddle/hang.
Having already committed to travel arrangements to/from FL, I'm going to have to back out of the Savage Gulf hang. I am bummed. Not only am I going to miss hanging out with friends, and the new HNO-MM-Zimmer packs, but Spamburgler's hot cocoa consierge service as well. I don't know which will be worse.
Ya'll are going to have to have all the fun without me. Next time.
Ima gettin so pumped up for this trip! The only thing I Fred is the nearly 4hr drive thurs which will put me down there at 8-9pm hope I can find it in the dark!
Ps if anyone has a uq that my brother could use pm me plz
We all know Ewker is correct about looking at weather forecasts this far out, but with the football season over and baseball yet to start, what's left to talk about?
If you want good weather then why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0dlL...ture=fvwp&NR=1
DetailMan---we will miss you but have no pity because the Suwanee will be an awesome trip too. I remember paddling on that river and a gator went airborn off a bank to get to safety/water and only missed my kayak because I was backpaddling as hard as possible!
