    Are hammocks like scooters?

Both are great but dont let your friends see you. I had a russian friend over for a few days during christmas and he thinks i have lost my mind. "you sleep in a bag hanging from the walls by shoe laces?" i got him to try it and that made it worse. "so i lay sideways but only a little?". "how do you,,,,,,make baby????" Just another reason people think i'm crazy. I love my hammock but I dont think they are going to sell well in russia.

EVERYBODY that knows me knows about my hammock mania. Most people are receptive but they also probably won't do the all night hammock sleeping thing. I've never had anything but good natured joking about it (mostly because I'm such a hammock freak and would give myself a hard time about it too).

I am happy to keep doing what I'm doing and if someone doesn't get it... then they just don't get to enjoy the comfortable nights sleep that I get. It's a shame for them but I won't shed a tear... and I will continue telling everyone about the joys of hammocking

I love to see people's faces when I tell them that I going to sleep in the back yard to night because it's going to be below freezing. Most just look at me like this or

    what's wrong with scooters??
It's not procrastinating, its proactively delaying the implementation of the energy-intensive phase of the project until the enthusiasm factor is at its maximum effectiveness.

I've got a Russian friend who has a Hennessy, and scooters. Lots of scooters.

A Yamaha Razz got me into motorcycling. If I didn't live in the sticks, I'd have a scooter for buzzing around town.

I've ridden my 1980 Vespa P200 motorscooter more miles than most dudes on Harleys (including across the US once...and multiple other weekend trips up and down the West Coast)....so when people give me crap about hammocks, it rolls right off my shoulders just the like when they razz me about riding a scooter.

I am not in as deep as some here for sure, but Friends definitely think I am crazy. Probably has more to do with actually being crazy than the Hammocks though.
