I looked at the superfly-- but i dont think its long enough... They switchback hammock guys say a 12' tarp fits best and the SF is 11'.. that 2 tone maccat that onething has is pretty nice.. Though would reverse the colors and go body black and gray doors to let in a little light in the morning..

According to the website, the Switchback is 10 ft. long, not 12. If you apply the 83% rule, your hammock ridgeline would be about 100 inches. Ten inches of coverage on each end should be more than sufficient, so a ten or 11-ft tarp ridgeline should be fine.

As an aside, I too love to sleep in. I wouldn't rule out cuben fiber for that reason alone. I've been using an HG 4S CF tarp for the last year and can't say that the sun wakes me up - the translucency of CF is slightly exaggerated, in my opinion. When I read people claiming they can see the stars through their CF tarp, I think they're imagining it. Sure, you can see the moon, but stars? Maybe I'm just blind as a bat.

I suggest a couple products. I suggest JRB rectangular tarp, AHE Toxaway , and the WB Cloudburst tarp. Mcat tarps are really good to.

Love, Love, Love my Wilderness Logics Big Daddy. Available in 132 inch or 144 inch ridge line length. Plenty of room and coverage. I have the 144 in the brown color. Great quality and great customer service.

I love how he was looking for less options... Seems to Mr like he now has every option listed in the hammock world...

My two choices would be the superfly since it is on sale and is an awesome tarp... My second would be the old man winter mentioned above... If you think you want the pole mod done, just go ahead and get it done right off the bat with the old man winter...
