    Hammock pressing against right leg

Trying to dial in my new Lite Owl, getting a flat lay, but the fabric is pressing quite firmly like in a line across my right shin bone (the leg towards the middle of the hammock) I've tried lenghtening and shortening the ridge line with minimal results. It's not terribly annoying, and I can still fall asleep, but not totally comfortable either...It's one of the folds coming down from the top of the hammock. Advice?

Is there a crease in the hammock there? If the pressure is in a line then there must be... That being the case you should be able to adjust your lay to smooth it out. The only other thing I can think is it's actually your pad bunching up, which happens... That one isn't so easy to fix.

no pad right now, using an underquilt, and that's not the problem. It's just one of the many creases that come down from the gathered end I think, or the tightness that comes down in a line from the gathered end.

My body goes flat until it gets to my right leg, then it's as if my right leg drops off a small ridge and falls into the footbox area. And there is some pressure there.

This has been discussed before here several times. Most say (and I agree) move the foot end up higher and set it up with a little more sag. I also find using an inflatable insulated pad pretty much solves the problem.

Loosen the tie on the end and see about re-arranging the gathered end. Keep it a dash loose and lightly lay down in the hammock as it tightens. If you don't want to do that, have you swapped laying opposite way in it? Switch the head/foot ends as you lay down and try it the opposite way for the lay.

One trick I have found to help get rid of the calf pressure is to get into the hammock on the same side my HEAD is going to be. I sit as close to the edge as I can without dumping myself on the ground. Then I swing the legs around and push the hammock fabric out with my heels and slide into position.

Hope this helps b/c it sure does work for me.

With my WBBB, and Traveler too, I found that the foot elevation needed to be what felt almost too high...8 to 10 inches in my case. Do what it takes and don't be bashful about pushing what feels like limits until you sort out your own snow flake (each of us is unique) set up.
