    Go to your local fabric shop and get a loop turner. It works great on 7/64. You see Professor Hammock using one in several of his how to videos.

    Loop turner and a US #5 knitting needle to open up the channel first. A #6 needle would be a little bigger and might be easier.

    There's no need to "open up the channel first" when using a loop turner or stiff wire with amsteel. See my video in post #19.
