So having never used an underquilt in a hammock before, (I just always used a sleeping bag) I can now say I will never go without one again. Holy Smokes Batman, that made for a toasty night. I had no issues adjusting it to sleep at an angle although I could stand to have a bit more length for my 74 inches.
The only issue I have now is the cost of finding and buying at least 6 more to make an UQ for each of us.... Seems like every time I come back here it costs me.

I'm so doin this... Great idea.
Almost Finished with my Honey Badger inspired JCP Puff UQ
I pretty much followed HB's instructions except I took the two extra front panels and zipped them together and they then velcro onto the inside of the UQ in the CBS area for a second layer and the sewn seams run the opposite direction.
I have the 4 sleeves that I can also add into this newly created pocket for more layers and warmth
and the pockets are situated that a few hand warmers could be put in them for more warmth or maybe a hot water bottle or two (weight might be an issue) just thinking way too much
I still have to add Grosgrain and suspension, but this weighs in at 585 grams That includes the 4 extra sleeves and front panels
without the extra panels and Sleeves the weight is 380 grams
I am still deciding how to finsih the edges and suspension
Thanks to all that Inspired The JCP PUFF UQ
I want to get it done so I can do a test hang on Saturday LOW temp to be 19* and some Snow
"HANGING OUT" has taken on a whole NEW MEANING
I am a very warm sleeper!
My 3/4 Length 2 Layer Insulbrite UQ has took me to 27* and it was windy that night 30+ MPH Gusts and sustained winds of 10MPH
I am thinking of using Shock cord for sides is that what you used?
or did you use paracord?
I also have a DN how was the width for you? did you have to lay on less of a diagonal?

"HANGING OUT" has taken on a whole NEW MEANING
I picked up a few (8) of these last week and removed the sleeves from 3 of the 4 green ones. I am seriously thinking about stitching channels for the shock cord to the neck and bottom of one "vest", then stitching the channel and tensioner to the zipper ends so I can remove the other layer to use as a jacket. It's not a perfect rectangle, but the only way I see myself using the jacket as a jacket in addition to the top layer of the underquilt is to have it shorter on one side. Anybody else going down that path?
Happy Trails to one and all.
Enjoy the outdoors wisely and elevate your perspective.

I used paracord through the channel with shock cord to connect the ends.
I did lay at a little less of an angle than I normally do, but still wasn't bad. With the ribbon channel I was able to slide the UQ into into position as I needed it. The ability to slide it made a huge difference. I pulled more towards my feet on the right side and more towards my shoulder on the left.
