    Hototo,
Thx for the welcome! If you remember any of the training areas at ol' Ft. Mc., the back of my property just about butts up to the edge of 19B, 19C blocks (King Hill, Silver Ridge, etc.). Remember an old plane wreck? 45 mins. from my back door! The ridgeline, E to W then N, to include Bain's Gap is now Mountain Longleaf Wildlife Refuge. I'm so glad it didn't go to real estate!

Great photos Halfastronomical! I used to hike through Little River Canyon some 20 years ago; was involved with Lookout Mountain Trail ***'n for a while back then - rock climbing at Little Rock City and Yellow Creek Falls (until it became private). Beautiful areas!

Thanks! The DeSoto Scout Trail was once part of the Lookout Mountain Trail. We are trying to resurrect it from Gadsden to Chattanooga, along with possibly being part of the proposed Great Eastern Trail. Good to meet ya! Maybe I will see you out on the trail some day.

    Hey from North Alabama

Hey from a fellow Bama outdoorsman. Went turkey hunting about 20 years ago around your area. Very nice area. Been wanting to hike the Pinhoti for years. Never seem to have the time. May have to find the time. How long is the Pinhoti?
