The AL section has been increased from about 140, with the extension of the southern part, to I think now about 175-180. The new southern terminus is around Flagg Mt. The GA section hooks up with the Benton / Mackaye.

Last time I was near the LMT, it looked like ATV's had taken over, the part I saw anyway. Hope that's not the case. Never been on the Desoto Scout Trail.

Not that one, but there's another one on King Hill, behind my house. In the early '90's a GTX flight crashed there, and Ft. Mc sent a SAR team...big local news. The one at Hernandez Peak (near Mcdill Pt.) has been there longer.
