    Quick question about SuperFly

I've been watching a few videos while drooling over my options but have come across a question I can't quite figure out. I'm under the impression that the SF has 2 generations, one with detachable doors and one without. Which is the current version?

Not that it makes any difference right now. I'm hoping to have saved enough money by my birthday.

I'd consider making my own stuff, but then I remember the horrible sewing machine incident of 1995...

The current one's doors are not detachable. You can buy a Mamajamba and buy the door kit and you essentially have a Superfly with detachable doors though.

    2 minutes... you guys rock.

I think I'd actually prefer the attached doors. I know myself well...

I tell ya, the wealth of information between here and reddit is killing me. If only I had more free cash. I'm contemplating selling my tent to a buddy to fund some new/new-to-me equipment.

Yeah doors are nice and they tuck away when you don't need them.

You can't go wrong with the SF. It is truly an amazing tarp! Just keep some cordage around to make your guylines and ridgeline as it does not come with any

My first SF had the pop off doors but I never took them off in all the time I had it. The SF is my winter tarp and the chances are I'm going to want to hunker it down at bed time, being able to close the ends off makes it much more cosy when it's blowing a hoolie.

My new camo SF has the doors attached, they're actually just an extension and different cut of the fly rather than added on. Easy to chuck up out of the way, I usually throw my door tie outs over my panel pullout shockcords and give it a couple of wraps.

I preferred the old shockcord and cordlock system on the door tie outs of the older models, the new plastic triangles just need a bit more fettling if you want adjustability, fine if not.

Get saving, you're gonna love it

Yeah, I've been looking at that too. This is a somewhat long-term desire, but while I'm here...

What length and type of cord are you using for guylines? I have paracord a plenty, but after reading around here I gather it's not the better solution.
