Got my A-TACs FG in today!

For those who are camo nuts, including myself, I just got my order of 20 yds of A-TACS FG (for Foliage Green) camo fabric today. It is 1.7, which is what I ordered. It seems to be exactly what I needed to construct a DIY tarp and a DIY single layer WBBB clone. It is a little more narrower in width; I will measure it exactly and edit the post later. <edit> it is 58" wide. A little short, but the plans for the WBBB should work.

I was specifically looking for this pattern as a "stealth pattern" over the ACU Digital that I have been building my other hammocks from. (You can sort of see it behind the fabric that I have hung over my ridgline.) I've also been following the multi cam threads, and just happen to think that all your camo patterns should match, so you look really cool, Mall Ninja style...

I got it from Schott's Fabrics, for $5.00 a yard, counting the shipping. Noticing the packing slip, it came from Hampton Textile Printing, Inc, Johnson City, TN. Their phone number is 423-928-7247.

    Can't wait to get started!!!

    Take it easy,

Congrats! Is it waterproof? If not, not sure about making it into a tarp. If it is, not sure about making it into a hammock (sweaty!).

    Looks good!

It is uncoated. I am going to do the silicone/mineral spirits dip for the tarp. I haven't made a tarp yet, so we might see how that goes with some leftover ACU 1.1...

Cool! Sounds like a plan. I'm sure you'll keep us posted on how it turns out...?

hahah I think your the first person ever to actually use the words 'sort of see' when describing something camo'd in ACU

that atacs looks great... Making the swtich from acu to multicam felt a lot like melting into my surroundings, acu to atacs I bet your gonna think you magically turned invisble.
