I won't believe they have shipped until you prove with photo evidence that you have the xlc.

No shipping notice after he said it would ship today. 1 month today

Got mine today. It is missing the mitten hooks for the tie outs but I love the way it feels when you lie in it. It is very nice. Tried it in all forms. Top def adds a little warmth. No top quilt but had my underquilt tucked under to get it set for the camp out next weekend. As to pics for proof.

    Blackbird XLC

Mine arrived yesterday (1.7DL) and I had a spare few minutes today to string it up. Wish I had more time this weekend to give it more of a trial run.

I really like the extra mesh. It makes a big difference compared to my WBBB in visibility. I didn't really feel "closed in" with my WBBB, but I definitely like the openness of the XLC.

The extra length felt nice and I was able to be nice and flat (I'm 5'10"). It felt a good, I actually fell asleep for a few minutes. It was only about 50 degrees out and I woke up with a little CBS. I didn't get a chance to test out my quilts. I'm wondering it I will have to add an extension to come sate for the longer length. I'll have to check that out later.

FYI on those waiting for theirs and the shipping time: I ordered mine on day one (actually, I ordered it before their webpage was fully updated).

Now, I'm a newbie with only about a dozen nights is a hammock, so take my quick review with a grain of salt!

    how many inches?

Asked this in a different thread but no answer yet, please help me out. Ordered one, now trying to figure snake skin size for it before it arrives.
    2 questions
#1-How long is it end to end?
#2-Since you have a WBBB would you say it’s about the same diameter as far as snake skin stuffing is concerned?

    Brandon,
Any plans for a Blackbird XLC in 1.0 or 1.1 SINGLE layer (or even a lightweight version)?

Just ordered a XLC 1.1 double....my plan is to just forget about it for now since I don't have another hike planned until May, and I can pick from one of my other dozen or so hammocks to play with in the back yard hammock lab. When I get it, it will be just like Christmas!

I also suspect that my new BIAS 1.1 Double will be here before the XLC as well.

And my HG Cuben Tarp with 12' ridgeline.

    Yes, I know I have a problem.
