    checking in from northern CO

    hello all,
I`ve been lurking on your site for a little while now. I am a DIY`er in training, and have really injoyed the amount of information i have learned from this site.
I bought a used old singer for cheap and have been teaching myself the basics.
My first project is going to be a cat cut style tarp made out of 1.1 oz treated sil.
I am going to work on my basic sewing skill/dialing in the machine before I start. Then i will build my hammock

See ya around, and thanks for all the great info

Welcome to the forums! I rode through Loveland 3 years ago on my cross USA trip. Great place!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

Welcome to the HFs. You might think about an easy DIY that a lot of people around here like. Get a table cloth like this:http://tableclothfactory.com/product...ablecloths/115

which has sewn edges and then make your own hammock...
