This past weekend some forum members and myself got down to 6f and windchill -4. It was a great time and my 0 degree incubator with 4 ounces of overstuff kept me very toasty.

Sleeping in the 20's is my record low. I don't think I've ever been in weather under 0° much less 10. I'm curious to see how cold that would be normally, I cant think about sleeping that cold.

I got down in the teens this weekend. I wasn't terribly cold, but in the future I'll be taking a second CCF for those temps. I'd been down to about 25 F before with no issues but apparently under 20 F is where my rig gets stretched a little thin... Not a bad temp, and certainly good info to have.

I like it cold because of no bugs!

Of course, when I was growing up we camped out more during deer season than in the summers. We'd go to the lease nearly every weekend, and stay longer for Thanksgiving and Christmas, except when our tags were full by Christmas. I guess my two favorite mornings were waking up with snow on the ground.

It's projected to be 71* here today, 75* tomorrow.

    But no bugs! Yay!

I've never been interested in winter camping until recently myself. I blame Shug. Somehow he makes it look fun and comfortable to be hanging out at below zero.

    Question for the colder hangers.

Once it gets to the 20's, I swear, my eyes get cold.
I notice it just along the lid margins, it kind of feels like my lids don't close all of the way and a small portion of my eyeballs get cold/dry.
Does anybody else notice this? I would love to hear I'm not the only one and even better would be a fix. I don't want to be the funny looking one wearing the sleep mask.

so with the UQ and TQ a body can stay mostly warm in those temps....but what about the face and nose.....I had a hard time keeping nose warm at 30 degrees!
