My hammock is measured from one gathered end knot to the other. It's 133" and my ridge length is around 110". I can reach my RL with no problem and use it to hang my head lamp.....RR

I'm guessing your rings are about 6 inches from the whipping on your hammock, as that seems to be about the standard length of such setups. Thus your working lenght is 144 inches (12 feet) and not 132 inches (11 feet). This puts your 122 inch ridge line right about 85%, which falls pretty close to the 83% rule of thumb and closer to what my ridge lines normally run.

that is possable Catavarie.....will measure tonight and see if thats the case.....
if so...that would be about right :-)
Finally stopped at 126" for my new 11ft hammock. This is longer than everyone seems to have, but it's perfect for me - super flat lay - which I like. No calf ridge problem - the 11ft length is just perfect, but boy is this thing long compared to my WBBB! It barely fits in the shed.

I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
