I feel the same way, this is my facebook, I dont have a facebook account and people seem to think that is crazy but I just say I have Hammock Forums I never get tired of reading the post and learning all the different ways you all do things. I have met some great people at hangs! I think the reason the other forums are so grumpy is they need to get off the ground and get a good nights sleep hanging in a hammock Thanks too all on here for just being some of the best people out there!!

What Mad777 said was echoed in my home. My wife just accepted that I spend a good bit of time on these forums, but was never interested in knowing anything about them. I got her to accompany me to the FH3, she spent her first night in a hammock, met a great group of people, made some new friends, had a ball, plans to be back next year, and she joined hammock forums when we got home. She has mad one WBBB clone and is about to make another. Man, HF's has made things good for me.

As a noob, I have to say that I have felt great about asking any question, no matter how ignorant. I can't wait to hang with you folks!

(To other noobs - get The Ultimate Hang by Derek Hansen - it will answer a lot of questions and explain much of the terminology that the 'old hangers' use! - also check out animatedknots.com if you have passed your Boy Scout knowledge by a few decades like me - or could never tie a bowline...)

Thanks, everyone for your kindness and support!

Tis a great community. My involvment may wax and wane some, but pretty sure I'll never leave. Too much learn and too interesting a group to learn from to ever completely leave. Well said OP.
