Impressive looking system. The only worry I'd have ... just based on person experience is failure at the hook and loop system. Generally side ways pulling on a velcro strip has caused it to come open for me on other things. Also just accumulation of "stuff" while out in the piney woods in the loop part of the strip tends to work against you. Would be interested in seeing some one in the hammock and moving around to see how well the panels stay in place.

Best of luck on your new venture! Nice to see new ideas come along.

WARNING: Will discuss Rhurbarb Strawberry Pie and Livermush at random.

Howdy Neighbor and thanks for your comment and concern... Two and a half years ago when I started testing, I ran into the same problem with standard hook and loop fastener... But, when I switched to Omni-Tape, it alleviated many problems. Also, when I combined the Omni-Tape with the zipper (Zip-Stick Rail), the stretch and disconnection issues were resolved. Omni-Tape is coined as "snag-free" Velcro because of the way it's made, hook & loop together on a substraight. It does not adhere to debris like standard hook and loop does. In over a year of field testing there were no instances of accidental disconnection. Once again, thank you. I will make a video of someone using the sleep-shelter to demonstrate the points you mentioned.

    Sincerely,
    Len Gioglio
