    I think this is fairly well covered but I agree. In a group hang - car camping situation I use a folding lawn chair. Otherwise my hammock is just as, if not more comforatable and adds no additional weight!

    I've made my own, field expedient versions of the Alite Monarch chair. I've been meaning to sew some lightweight ripstop fabric for this (not just knotted ends or heavy canvas).

    It has worked out great for me and at only 14 ounces I don't ever regret packing it. I believe there is also a shorter 10 ounce version now.
