    Down Sleeping Bag

    Hi
Canadian Tire has down sleeping bags on sale this week.
The bags are Ridgeway By Kelty.
    4* C (39*) Reg $ 160 on for $ 112 or a -7* C (19*) Reg $ 180 on for $ 125
I'm from North Bay Ontario and We Don't get to many hot nights in Northern Ontario. Maybe a few weeks all summer.
I don't have a hammock yet, I am looking at the new WBBB with 3 Season Yeti under quilt. Since I have not slept in a hammock before, I'm not sure about the Cold Butt deal. Would a down bag on sale be a good score or should I wait and go for a WB top quilt.

    I'm not a winter camper

Definitely a good score. Your under insulation matters most. I tend to get low rated under insulation and have had no problems taking the top insulation past it's rating. Actually currently using a 30* downbag with a downmat 7 UL (-11F rating). Got the downbag on sale over 80.00 off.

I'm actually going to be in North Bay the week after Easter with my WBBB if you want to see it in person to help make your decision. I have yet to hang but have purchased everything but under quilt. Shoot me a PM if you're interested

Those CT bags are mummy so very similar to a TQ, but with more versatility than one. I'd much rather have a bag I can open (or close) over a tq. And I'd rather a have a tradition barrel bag over a mummy bag.
Those are pretty good deals though for a quality down bags.

I just bought the sierra design junction 15 bag from sierra trading post with 30 % coupon, total $130. It zips completely open to be used as down blanket, roomy ground bag. I plan to zip it around my hammock like a peapod, should work amazingly.
