FS: NEW Columbia GRT PHILMONT Convertable Pants

For sale: New in plastic Columbia GRT "convertable" (zip-leg) pants. These pants were purchased at Philmont Scout Ranch back in 2002 and have never been removed from the plastic bag or worn. Tags still on pants. The Philmont logo is embroidered on the left front pocket.

These pants are the best camping pants I have ever used. I bought three pair in 2002 and used the other two pair until they just got too big for me (or I got too small for them ). Used hard for 8 years and in the closet just in case I ever gain the weight and size back (God forbid).

They are Men's XL with a 32 inch inseam.

Philmont only made these for a few years... May be a collectors item? I don't know...

Bought them for $60.00 new. SOLD.

Would really love these to go to another Philmont vet or Scouter, but I'll sell them to the first $60.00 in hand. PM me then post interest here.

They are synthetic - not cotton. The tag says Omni-Dry. Provide UPF 50+ protection. Have a radial leg gusset - lots of room for the boys if you know what I mean. The fabric has some stretch to it - not a lot, just enough.

Just to detail how much I wore the pairs I have...

    They went on:

    • 2 Philmont treks - 2005, 2008
    • 2 Colorado CDT hikes - 2003, 2007
    • Countless overnighters with the Scouts - all seasons
    • Countless longer weekend alone or with friends

If I was outside, I was in these pants. They still look new. Just too big now.

    Sure wish they were smaller

I would buy these for my son in a second if they were small enough! Nice pants!
