I know, I know. They use to be awesome but now they sort of suck. The thing is...you get what you pay for and it never hurts to have an extra one laying around for a loaner. I've had a later gen 11x11 greenie that has held up just fine from last season- just buy some seam sealer with it and coat heavily. ALSO inspect the one you get- send it back if it has defects...sportsmanguide is great about returns.

It's hard not to buy one for this price...

say what you want....as I was getting started....and buying EVERYTHING...I bought one of the Guide Gear® Emergency Shelter(the middle link)....ditched the poles.....replaced the cord....cut the sack in half and sewed some bungle cord into it....and it's still what I use today!

it is HUGH......yes a little heaver that your cuben....but 39 bucks!

mine ended up at 1lb 13oz with stakes and snake skins....and about the size of 2 softballs.

    I just like it for the size...14 x 11 1/2.

I am getting the 11X11 and the membership, waiting for my 20 gc and getting another one and then cancelling the membership unless I see the need to keep it. That should be 2 big tarps for me and my son for $40. Nice

this morning it was 20 off one item and free shipping. now its 2 10's and 8.99 shipping.

edit: I called and got 20% my order, free shipping and the membership. I get 2 10 gc that can be uses on anything including items under ten. I will not surf the military surplus and ammo for some bargains. I may even try and refer some of my friends for some free money. thanks toygun.

Let us know guys what kind of quality these are this year. Last year they weren't worth the trouble.. but got my money back.
    Good Luck.

Good to know. I am hoping for something less then my kelty noah but still usable. I am not a gram weenie as of now most of what I do is car camping. i am hoping this make a good stop gap for me and my son in place of some of the fine products offered by our many vendors.

Never had heard of these before. I would be interested in hearing more about them from you guys that bought them this year. I had a Kelty Noah and was extremely dissapointed in its performance.

my transaction was cancelled. I can only think it was clerical, but I am not getting a warm and fuzzy? It said my cc denied the transaction. I have plenty of money so I now need to call back( m-f 7am to something) or reorder. Not sure about this.
