Acadia Nat. Park, ME and White Mountain Nat. Forest, NH

Some photos from our week in ME and NH....

The spectacular Maine coast as seen from Otter Cliffs Trail in ANP:

Thunder Hole. I climbed up on the rocks on the right and got drenched when a big, rogue wave smashed into the hole!

    Had to stop at Bean's:

We took the Snow Coach up to about 4250' on Mt. Washington in NH. As is normally the case in winter time, the visibility was poor. We were lucky with the weather though... it was calm and fairly warm. During the previous night, the winds hit 95MPH. (It has blown as fast as 231MPH at the summit.)

We snowshoed a short way into Lincoln Woods from the Blackberry Crossing trailhead outside of Conway Village, and hung out for the night.

It was a fun week and we didn't want to come home!

    Take it easy,

Very nice pics. This is a part of the country I have always wanted to visit. Too bad my wifes idea of a vacation is blue water somewhere on a beach and not mountains and woods.

Very Beautiful. Lilprincess was looking at the pictures and kept saying " I've been there" I would love to follow in your shoes on that trip. It looks like just a perfect time. Though I would be the only one out there. Lil P does not winter camp.

Ohhh very nice pictures. My profile pic is of me climbing the Precipice trail, Mt. Champlain, right near thunder hole and otter cliff.

    Love it there.

Looks like you all had a good time.
