If I come alone (which I think i will be), I will be hiking in at 7-8am and will catch up. I would imagine you would bust camp at 8-10 as normal and I can rock at a better than 3mph pace.
Saturday we can hike to the tower and drool over gear.

I'm thinking about taking Lorax's suggested hike in from the Greenbush campground Friday night. Planning to throw my pack and a change of clothes in the trunk, then have my wife drop me off after work. If my estimate of drive and hiking times are correct, I should come strolling up to the shelter sometime between 7 and 7:30 Friday night.
That's probably about the same time we'll be getting there.

I'm just glad that the weekend forecast seems to get better each time I check. I was a little worried about my dirt cheap sleeping bag (and its 20* rating that the Amazon community all agree is 15 - 20 degrees too generous) when the long term forecast last week was showing overnight lows in the 30s.
