I'm definitely in. I have been hiking more miles than usual the last few weekends to get ready for this trip. It will be fun.

Sounds like a good time for sure. I will be out there on an adventure 9/10 to 9/14, wildfire permitting. What can I expect nighttime lows to be? I have an homemade 40* sleeping bag synthetic UQ. Beyond the UQ, any suggestions on additional, light weight insulation for underneath? Thanks all.

Temps will be in the 20's in the valley areas...up in higher areas you could see temps drop into the 30's but 40's might still linger. I would add a light weight closed cell foam pad if you can't get a warmer UQ. It's hard to say what weather will be like...on past Idaho hangs we have had day temps anywhere from 60-80 and night temps into the low 20's...snow...rain...power outages...constant rain, ice in the early AM, frost...you just can't predict what could happen at 9-10,000 foot elevation in the fall.

Just a bit more than two weeks away. Do we only have 3 signed on for this year? I was hoping for a few more.

Blaktee have you talked your way out of attending the wedding? It will be well worth the effort. I was hoping you could hike the long loop with me. I'm ready to go.

It looks like there will be fire restrictions in place if we don't get some rain soon. Here is the link http://www.blm.gov/id/st/en/info/new...trictions.html. This might help you decide what stove you want to bring for the trip.

KSC. We have 4 total to this point confirmed. You, me, SnrMoment, and Dave from Seattle. I had RSVP's for close to a dozen but no reply from most of them when I emailed a couple weeks ago....guess that's a no???

Talked with Dave a little bit ago and he is flying into Boise and will drive up planning to be there around dinner time.

I am keeping an eye on the fires near Sun Valley. Anyone planning to drive from the south or east may need to go around. Right now that is me and KSC with a maybe to Blaktee. KSC it may be best to come strait up to Mt Home and we can then head to Boise and up from there.

I will be coming from the North. I will be spending the weekend in Montana before the hang. Last year I did the same thing and I was delayed for a while because of a fire near Sunbeam. I hope it will be better this year.

Wondered if you would be coming that way again. Looking like we may end up skipping Smiley Creek....it's just going to be well out of the way for coming through Boise this year. Maybe we change to meeting at Red Fish Lodge...little more $'s for dinner but a great meal to and easy to find for anyone coming.

I've been burned out of trips on the Middlefork twice because of fires. Please keep a current post on route closures/alternatives as I'll be coming in from the north too.
