sand spikes?

Anyone have any suggestion on how I might spike out a bipod hammock stand in deep loose sand?

We make our sand stakes out of 3 inch angle aluminum from Lowes. They need to be about 18 inches long. We cut a 45 degree with a chop saw in one end and drill a hole in the other to tie off to. it's a good idea to sand the finished product. When using cover exposed end to prevent injury.

Deadman stake is what I have used it works well

Deadmen or parachute stakes. Take your stake, bury it sideways in the sand as deep as you think you need to for a deadman stake. Parachute stakes work the same way but are a piece of fabric that you bury (looks like a parachute...go figure).

Parachute stakes are good other wise look up msr snow flukes. Pricy but will hold. Or you could build a set.

Found our Sand Stakes in the Garage today. They cost about $5 each to make.
