new river extra long reporting in. my first time out with it was in the low 20's. using it and a 20 degree sleeping bag i was warm from my head down to my toes. tho my toes did get cold after that early morning call of nature, but it didn't take long to warm back up after i climbed back in. its a great uq. it doesn't pack as small as down uq's, but your not buying a down uq either.

I pack mine in a Sea to Summit e-Vent dry compression sack, size medium. It starts out at about 8" dia. x18" tall and probably ends up about 8" dia. x 9" or 10". Next time I pack it up, I'll measure it.

I'm trying out a new down underquilt tonight. I'll be comparing the stuffed sizes of my underquilts when I unpack my stuff tomorrow afternoon. I'll post a photo of my New River (long) packed in a compression sack for you.

The New River is the larger sack (Sea to Summit medium size e-Vent dry compression sack). There's a 32-oz. Nalgene on the left for size reference. (The size Extra-Small e-Vent sack next to it contains my new Underground Quilts Zeppelin UQ.)
