    Looks like a good setup from the photos. I'm thinking the external-pole setup would be ideal for bridge hammocks, given a largish tarp.

    I don't know how to make a locked brummel which is used in the video, so I'm trying to figure out my knots right now. Things always look so easy in the videos.

    I never bothered making mine the clean nice way like Tendertoe. I just tied a loop in one end with a square knot. Pull the string through the loop and viola, fixed eye loop.

    wrap the prussic on the line and tie off the prussic to your pull-out and you're done. Once you cinch down the line with your prussic it'll apply the pressure needed to keep the fixed eye hitch in place.

    Doesn't look pretty but it's exactly the same. Might at least get you into experimentation mode and once you fine-tune it you can make the nice spliced fixed eye loops.

    Wow, I hadn't seen that thread. I've had a nice mod on my tarp, but looking for something for Dakota and his friend to use.
