Took a recon float down the Brill river yesterday. The river is already receding.

In light of the remaining snow cover along the Superior Hiking Trail, we will be kayaking down the Namakagon river this weekend.

We are planning to rendezvous at the County K landing Friday evening by 5PM. We will then float/fish to the N25.3 campsite.

Saturday we will continue float/fishing to the McDowell Bridge landing.

All are welcome to join in.

Did this exact trip some years ago. Really nice trip.

I live only 20 miles from there. Wish I could go but I have to work.

I am glad we did not attempt the hang this weekend.The weather has been poor with periods of snow and cold, and a very brisk 15 mph NW wind. Temp this morning was 30 deg. and as of 3:00 pm, it's only 41 deg. The cold snap has totally shut down the fishing, which was just starting to heat up. Hopefully we can try for another date later this Summer.
