    ENO Pro Fly enough protection

I was considering getting the eno pro fly but not sure if its enough protection from rain as its 10' 6" x 6' 4". Is it enough?

or should i spend 15 more and get a Hennessy Hex Fly which is 11 x 10 ft and only 2 ounces more?

Any better options in the 50 to 80 dollar range?

i used the eno for a while... it is a nice fair weather tarp... but like the deminsions say, it is a bit narrow on the sides... i would spend the extra money and get the hex fly... or get a maccat tarp... save a bit more and spend only once... also take a look at the tad pole, they seem popular around here...

Save a bit more and get the Hex Fly. Used one for 2 years and they are great. Or a few more dollars and get the Wilderness Logics Big Daddy. Same size as the HH fly but lighter and packs down quite a bit smaller. It's what I use as a fair weather tarp now. Great piece of kit.

As mentioned, consider getting a silnylon tarp for weight and bulk savings as well as more coverage than the ENO especially if you plan to be in more than just a straight down rain.

Only pro-fly's I've seen are 65.00 at the cheapest. JRB has the HHF for 60.00, at least a couple weeks ago they did. Bigger and cheaper.

ENO's fly are not meant for heavy rains...they are mainly meant to sit on a beach and block the sun from you. They are made very well but are very small. def go with the HHF or a kelty noah 12fter.
