Very nice! After all the stuff that I have read and watched on Linvile Gorge, this has put me over the top, and I am planning a trip as we speak. Thank you!

Just an awesome vid! Thanks for sharing it. Love the Gorge! And all it has to offer.

That portion of the trail coming from the TR parking lot brought back some great memories of getting caught on the ridgeline during a wicked thunderstorm! I will never forget that experience and I'm sure Wisenber will agree. Can't wait to go back in May!!

We talked about how fortunate we were with the weather... it was an exposed route, and I could see storms/wind being a real issue. I'm sure you have some stories.

The Linville Gorge is the most intelligent and most natural teacher when it comes to backpacking. I thought I was the bomb of backpacking and hiking with skills par none until that trip to the Gorge in May of 2010 brought me right back to earth! I learned a great deal from that Teacher, including the greatest lesson. Respect. From watching and paying attention to the trails and skies more closely, to better planning, to orientation and not taking the surroundings for granted, because of the Gorge, I was humbled. The Gorge's beauty, and tenderness and at times its temper is a sight to behold!

Nice video Paul! Great Dad = Lucky daughter.

Sorry we missed you three at Louise's. Spent Saturday building new trails over at Hawksbill with Running feather, Hangin burrito, and Carolinasbackpacker.

Great video! It's one thing to be out enjoying the woods, but to be out there spending time with your daughter takes it to a completely different level. An encouragement to all us dads

Great video!! good tunes too. Someone in your vid has the Granite Gear AC60...I just bought that pack and love it so far...any feedback from a more extensive user? I've only had it 2 weeks and done 1 trip with it. Don't see that pack around much where I am...but it seems fantastic - great suspension, space and weight.
