    OK.

We've got tee shirts, a theme song, and a slogan (Coookie Cooooooon!).

    What else do we need?

Assuming y'all don't mind a new guy, I'm in. I'm usually strive for ultralight, so I can always bring my bigger pack and haul extra water.

Also, assuming I'm not too weighed down by a small lake in my pack, I'm willing to take the longer trail.

My plan is to hike the short trail with my Basecamp filter and several empty gallon jugs, then filter water there so that those hiking in on the other trails need only carry what they personally think they need and have some waiting on them at the Lake. The Basecamp holds a couple gallons, so we should be able to filter all the water we need, especially for cooking.

It would take a pretty stiff drought to dry that pond up. We'll know by July if there's any danger of that.

This really sounds like a trip in the making, I hope you have counted me in. Sarge, you and I can be the teetotalers. Not sure I will bring my kids though...something I remember from school in a book called, "Lord of the Flies" comes to mind...

And that kilt thing sounds like the only way to keep a handle on staying cool. Unless Spacey hauls in all those electric fans on the wagon/travois.

    Take it easy,

Well, Jeff will likely join us in the sobriety brigade. We can probably build a fort and hold them off until near dawn-----

Lol. Yea, something about 100 weather and the ridiculous humidity mixed with alcohol just doesn't suit my fancy..

I like to "hydtrate" with rum. I do have trouble with the "moderation" part though
