Patrick, hope you can make it. We all miss you!

Rain is always in the forecast, just depends on the time of day....

Any weekend butJune 7th for me.

The only weekend I can't do is June 7th. I'm camping with the family at Ludington State Park the May 31 - June 7. I might be able to negotiate getting a pass to meet the first weekend, but I have to drive home with the fifthwheel on the 7th.

i think i can do this one, well, that's the plan. would the idea be first night at nordhouse lake then second at or near lake michigan or is this not a backcountry and we're staying at the campground? i'd like to see a backcountry style.

It's all backcountry camping, there are no "offical" sites but there are many established ones. The usual rules apply for the distance from water and main trails. But most of the "social trials" pass through campsites. Nordhouse lake isnt much too look at. Prepare for hiking in dunes, and beach walking as well. The parking lot is rather small, so on busy weekends it fills up really quick.
Its a proven fact that 78.4% of all statstics are made up on the spot.

The last few time that we have been there we have ben camping to the south of the southernmost trail as it reaches the lake. Great little spot, good trees, nice and open, very close to the lake and tucked between the fore dunes and the main dunes.

Great... way to publish a nordhouse trip on on HF! As if it's not busy enough! You're gonna ruin the honey hole!!!!

I'm down for anytime, it's only 2 hours away.

We squat for the weekend usually, establish camp and run amok...
