Well, it did fell that way when we were talking to that local good ole boy. He had WAY to many questions about where we were staying. We all were very uncomfortable after that and made our way to a different location then where he suggested.

But Saturday, we stayed up on the overlook just before the end of the trail (if you go clockwise). Such a beautiful spot and it was a wonderful night to be there too...

It sure is pretty country around there. Thanks, it was pretty easy capturing the scenery, even for an amateur photographer such as myself. I hope you enjoyed the pics.

Thanks, Craig. That means a lot coming from a [not-so] old pro like yourself. The music I used for the video was from the website "incompetech.com", an online resource for royalty free music.

I was pretty proud of my performance on the trail, it was NOT an easy trail. My pack weighed in about 33 lbs, and I left my "lil joey" chest pack at home. On my next trek, I'll be much lighter.

My ULA Cdt is supposed to arrive today, which in itself will shave over 5lbs. off my load compared to the wally-world orange beast I have been carrying.

Ha Ha! I can't come close to comparing until I can afford to graduate to compressible, downy comfort status.

Looked like a fun trip. Surprised it wasnt more green down there. Were the ticks as bad as Perry Lake?

I think we had one contact with a tick, and he was crawling on a backpack. You would think, after the 1 hour + that we did bushwhacking there would more sightings, but I don't remember any...

    Thanks goodness...
