Short Notice! Grayson Highlands May 4th & 5th

First off I apologize for springing this on anyone who might have been interested but can't adjust for the short notice. I want to do several hangs this year, and I promise to be more forthcoming with the notice.

Now for anyone who is still interested in this trip. I'm going to the Grayson Highlands this weekend, leaving Lynchburg at 6am to be at the park by 9am. (expected). I've got a 12 mile loop with an extra 2 mile leg to get to the top of Mt Rogers on day 2. If you would like and are in the Lynchburg area, PM me and I'll give you a location to meet me for carpooling.

If you're not familiar with the planned area, some expected views are Wilburn Ridge, Pine Mountain, Rhododendron Gap (feral ponies), and of course Mount Rogers the tallest peak in VA.

Let me know if you would like to go or meet up at the park.

    Thanks!!

Hey rottenpossum! I'd join ya but my hiking (lack-of) skills would slow ya down. Hers's Wishin ya good weather all weekend. Have a great trip!
    - Loki,

"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy,
while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn."

There's no expectation of pace other than "start @9am on Saturday and finish no later than 6pm on Sunday". If you can work with that pace you're more than welcome to come along. I'm already taking someone brand new to backpacking.
