Good point and I found the shock cord was too thick, it seemed to hanging up on the mesh on mine too, will try thinner shock cord or go to regular line. I think I will also sew the channel smaller, it seems to be trying to gather a lot of fabric and causing it to bunch rather than close.

I goofed. I mixed up organza and tulle. Tulle is the weak one, and organza is reportedly a bit heavier than noseeum net.

Someone might have already said this but you can get nanoseeum netting at the zpacks website.
I posted earlier about Joanns, but did not give pricing.
They carry a white NoSeeUm or as close to NoSeeUm as I can tell and it's pretty strong.
It's located in the utility section with ripstop and other similar materials. If I remember correctly it's only $3.99/yd and if you get their 50% coupon you're down to just under $2/yd...not bad if you ask me.
