    Old tent?

I snagged a very large 10 man tent form a festival. It was left for me to find! This thing is big and has the aluminum poles not the break down ones with shock cord. So what are some things that you can do with a scrap tent? Get the zippers. floor. Can I make a tarp from the top? What other things can one do?

You could cut the floor out and put a small stove in it and use as a winter hot tent or cook tent for winter gatherings.

I never had any luck making a tarp out of tent rain flys, though I certainly put a lot of effort into it. They're designed to hang over a tent, not a hammock.

I am thinking of the roof for a tarp, big maybe. screen windows or material might go for snake skins. i think a bishop bag could pry be made too. Great ideas
