How to hang with too long whoopies?

Well, the whoopies arenīt really too long, itīs more of the attachment points in question being too narrow for the setup.

Iīve got the IKEA hammock stand and would like to try and hang my recently accuired Woodsman X in it. That hammock has whoopies directly attached to the hammock ends. The stand is too narrow to use the whoopies. Is there a smart way to either use the whoopies or the tree straps? I was thinking about taking the tree strap, which has a sewn loop at one end, loop the end of the hammock and simply tying the strap through the metal loop of the stand. I do not want to do something stupid that risks damaging my hammock though, so any thoughts are appreciated. The main purpose is simply to try out the new kit before heading out to the woods, so if the advice is to not do anything dumb Iīll live with that.

Fixed loop, lark's headed to the hammock and carabiner to link it to the stand, remove fixed loop to use whoopies in tree mode.

You could feed the whoopie through the attachment rings on top of the stand and then lift one of the legs put the adjustable loop over it and slide the whoopie to the middle of the base. Then shorten whoopie as needed.

Or...run the whoopies through the attachment rings and then connect them together (over your head in the middle) with a biner.
