    Reflictive lines

    I'm trying to find some nice reflective line for tie outs. I have some 550 type stuff but it stretches pretty bad over night. I've been looking for something along the lines of a Dyneema line. I've found 50' lengths of Dyneema with a poly sleeve but they're asking $25-30. This 1.8mm stuff looks good but I can't find it in less than 1000m spools. It comes out to about $0.142 a foot.

    Anyone know where to get this stuff at a reasonable price/length? And as far as real world experience/application, is the visibility of a reflective thread better than say Dynaglide or Zing-it?

    I went with Nite Ize Reflective Cord at $10 for 50' and 2.4mm it was perfect for what I needed.

    The Nite Ize stuff is pretty much what I have now. I had seen the Exped and like it, just too much $$$. The glowwire seems like it would be a good option.

    Anyone have any info on bright vs reflective visibility?

    I didn't care for the lawson equipment cord. It didn't fuse well so I tied stopper knots in the ends to keep them from fraying. Then the sheath stretched like mad so I ended up with "bubbles" at the end of each line where all the extra material bunched up. Did I get a bad batch or something or is this "normal"? I bought 2 different 50' hanks and they both had the same effect.

    Nite Ize also has a four pack of figure 9's that comes with four length of reflective cord that is specifically for tie out. $10

    I have had some slipage of the outer sheath but nothing as drastic as you are describing. Ive always been able to milk it back to position for the most part. I really like the glowire and now he is offering it in different colors, awesome.

    i got this set & the components work quite well

    i do wish the line was MORE reflective, since some of those i camp w/ tend to stumble around a bit...

    somewhere on this site, there is a thread that touts the addition of reflective spoke sleeves from the bicycle game

    the pictures were impressive

    haven't been to the bike shop yet, to get a set for my lines
