There are trees on Bear Island? We're talking Bear Island NC, in Hammock's Beach National Park outside of Swansboro, at the southern tip-end of the Outer Banks, correct? I've been to the island several times and one thing I didn't see much of were substantial trees. Granted I spent most of my time either at the ferry dock, on the path to the beach across the center of the island, or on the ocean-side beach itself.

No, its an island on Percy Priest lake in Nashville, TN. Plenty of good trees there

Barring an issue with my house closing which isnt scheduled until the 19th I plan on coming.

As usual I am willing to shuttle anyone over to the island who doesnt have a boat or doesnt want to chance the larger waves.

I can take 3 at a time easily if gear is light and 2 if heavier.

The plan for me would be friday during the day going in and leaving sunday morning so anytime after arrival and before my departure the shuttle service is available.

I am easily bribed with a beer or snacks...

Hey Neo where do you guys camp at on Bear Island? I notice on the map it's shaped like a bear, so with that in mind the head, back, neck, butt ect. I hope to get a small group from Alabama to come up and go? Skippy and I did the Merwether Lewis camp and canoe thing last weekend. It was just right! Thanks for showing me those spots! Many Cedars horse camp is under new management and dont have the shuttle service anymore but the nice new lady took us back to our truck anyway. That was real Cool! and didnt want any money but we paid her anyway.

We camp at the butt of the bear. If you look on the map youll see a tiny island at the butt. Thats Raccoon island... although I have dubbed it bear@#$% island
