Memorial Day weekend locations

I was wondering what were everyone's thoughts on where to head for the holiday weekend with my brother-- I usually save my trips for weekdays for the solitude, and the timing is allowing us to hook up only for the weekend.

we were thinking Dolly Sods proper, maybe the Roaring Plains...
...is it going to be too crowded??
I dont mind passing people along the way or sharing a view, but we are trying to avoid the masses. I myself have never been up there on a weekend so i was trying to get a gauge of what to expect if we do go.

we were also thinking of the Laurel Fork Wilderness or Ramsey's Draft as a backup plan.

I am taking my boys down to Black water in Milton Florida. we are going to rent some Kayaks and a canoe and spend three days working our way back 26 miles down the river. hanging along the way. most people are out on the water for the day not the weekend. we will not run into to many people till last day(Monday).
