    Sdog newbie

I just bought a Wbbb with rope suspension .XLC. What can I expect out of the box ? What else will need to set it up ? Shock cord,Stakes, ? I have not ordered a tarp yet , as I want to know if I can sleep in the thing be for I spend any more dough.but I do need to be able to sit it up in the first place. Thanks in advance for any help I can get from those of you who are more experienced ,

Did you choose the Line/Strap suspension?

You may want to purchase a pair of C.A.M.P. Nano23 carabiners, or a pair of even lighter Dutch Clips to make setup faster. Neither is needed but either can be used (with a loop on the end of your straps) to simply clip the straps around the tree rather than thread them through a loop or tie a knot. Saves tying knots.

    Noob

Wondering what tarp to use for my Wbbb XLC I like the idea of a winter tarp.I pack with Lammas , so weight is not an issue .being that the hammock is 11 ft.is the super fly long enough? Do any of you hangers know if J.R.B ever did any thing with there hot house prototype ?i can't find any recent posts in that direction ?or a two person winter shelter? Thank you all for your input! Sdog.

It sounds like the only thing you need is a pair of stakes for the tie-outs. The adjustable webbing needs carabiners or other hardware but you ordered the other suspension. According to the video you should be ready to go.

The Superfly is absolutely long enough. Here's what a WB Mamajamba looks like over an XLC:

Bit of a messy setup, and the hammock's tie outs are just hanging loose but you get the idea. The Superfly is similar to the MJ but with doors on either end.

Two stakes are handy for the hammock itself for the shelf and bugnet tieouts.

I just bought an XLC recently... I bet you're going to love it! Mine is much more comfortable to me than the ENO Doublenest I had been using for the last couple of years.

All you'll need to set up the hammock are two stakes (and you don't even REALLY need them, but it's nice to stake the sides out). A couple of carabiners, which you might already have on hand, will make attaching the tree straps to the trees a bit quicker/easier.

I use a Warbonnet Superfly tarp with my XLC and it provides plenty of coverage. I bought it as a winter/foul weather tarp to have in addition to my OES MacCat Deluxe, but find myself taking the Superfly on every trip. It's a great tarp.

Good luck with your new XLC. I hope you find it to be very comfortable!

    Take it easy,
