I just ordered a WBBB. Hopefully i'llhave it in a few weeks. Any other hangers out there in this neck of the woods? I'd love some tips and advice from experienced hangers.

Well I can't go up there until after June but i see you already poked your head into the NEHHA hang thread. That is the closest one with a WIDE variety of different hammocks and setups with a lot of us having used or are using the WBBB. If you want to stay closer to home post up in the trip planning section asking for hiking partners and see who shows up.

I'll be on the LT for three days this weekend, too bad you didn't have your set up yet. Send me a message when you plan to go out sometime and we will see if we can get together. Do you like to hike and camp, or just camp? I spend a lot of time in the Green Mountains
I'm all about hiking. Which part of the LT?
I have a couple different sections in mind right now, I won't decide exactly which one until the morning I wake up to leave probably. It will be on the southern most half of the LT though, anywhere from Rt. 4 to the Massachusetts border. I see you are in Essex, you do any hiking on the northern sections of the LT?
I've hiked most of it down to middlebury over the years more than a few times. Sad to say I haven't made it down to the southern portion. I love hiking in the adirondacks though. Less people I've noticed. Ever hear of the northville placid trail? Unless I can get a solid week off work to finish it all up, I'm going to do it in two 3 day weekends as long as I can find someone to car drop with me. Having to hitchhike back to your car can take awhile out there.
Yes I have heard of the Northville-Placid trail. I have a friend that want's to get together and hike it sometime, but I don't have a lot of interest in it really. It's pretty flat walking and I like to go over peaks when I'm out hiking. I have heard it's got some nice views, but it can be hard to navigate some times because there isn't a lot of maintenance on it. This is just information I was told a couple years ago...things could have changed by now.
I head up to the ADK's sometimes, trying to finish out my 46r status...though I'm a ways off of that lol. The ADK's are beautiful, but there is just too many people most of the time that I head up there. Half the time the parking lots are filled before 8:00am.
The LT is my favorite place to hike, hands down. I just really enjoy the Green Mountains and I love VT.
That's cool man, if you want we should hook up sometime and do a section or two of the LT. It must be so much easier finding a place to hang then finding a decent tent site. One of the reasons I'm trying out hammocking.
Excuse my ignorance, but what does LT stand for? My bro has a camp in whitingham, VT and wondered if there were any nice hiking/ hanging trails nearby. Thanks for any info
