    20F Flight Jacket Ordered!

Just ordered the 20F Flight Jacket, 84x60, with 2 ounces extra, colors: Lime Green with Grey inside. I'm a ground dweller but still like the top quilts.

    Now to wait...

    You have chosen well.
I've got the 20F and 40F set ups.
    I promise you will like.
They were the first to get me hypoallergenic down (highly water resistant). There are other vendors offering competing products but you know how it goes with the first born

I did order that, what has been your experience with it so far? Worth the hype?

I'm extremely cautious with my sleep gear. For me it MUST be in a dry sack as it's the last line of defense. I don't believe I've ever had a sleeping bag get wet beyond use etc.

After trips they get hung out and air dried etc.

UGQ got the order done and shipped really fast but alas the postal service didn't deliver. Guess I have to wait out the weekend, sigh...

At least I should have it in time for my next trip.

USPS finally delivered yesterday, love it looks perfect and the size is right.

I will be using it this weekend and will post some specs and a short review.

No photo's yet sorry, though I did get two nights in it.

So far my only concern is the draw string on the bottom. Seems that the spring/lock (what do you call it?) allows the line to slip under pressure. Same with the stuff sack top. I know that's likely due to the line being thinner than other draw strings. This might be a problem in colder weather where the opening up of the bottom closure will be more noticeable. This is not a deal breaker by any means and could be remedied easily I'm sure.

    Some specs:

Length: slightly under 84" (ordered 84" Long)
Width: slightly under 60" (ordered 60" wide)
Weight of quilt: 31.4 oz (this is a 20F with 2 ounces of overstuff)
    Stuff sack weight: 0.7 oz

The inner fabric is exactly what I was looking for, it doesn't have that sticky feel that some rip stop nylon's have for me. The lime green is bright enough to signal the ISS on a sunny day.

Both nights were around 50F, I never felt the cold and was able to sleep soundly. Real test of temp rating won't come till later this year.
