Hi Ladies and Gents,
I have recently taken up residence in an apartment with a balcony! Having procured the necessary spousal permission, I plan to put a hammock stand out there.
I have an exped scout hammock and a warbonnet blackbird, I am leaning towards using the exped, as it's got a higher load rating, and if someone manages to break it, I will feel less murderous. Though I'm open to suggestions.
I'm thinking about a 2x4 stand, as that looks pretty sturdy.
The exped is 116" long, the blackbird is 120" long, with a 100" ridgeline, so how do I figure out the distance between the posts that I need? Is it 100", plus whatever the length of the continuous loops?
Is there a way I can make a stand that will work for both?
Thanks,
Dave
