    Hammock Newbie

    Hello all,

Just signed up on the forum last night. I went out camping last weekend and a buddy of mine had a hammock setup and it totally blew my mind. I have been a hammock junkie since, researching everything I can since I got back home. Looking forward to learning and talking with everyone on the forum. If anyone has any useful links or advice it would be highly appreciated.

    Joe

Welcome to the forums. +1 on Shug's videos. Also try to attend a group hang in your area to check meet other hangers and check out gear.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

Shug's "How-To" videos are a great place to start. Also, Just Jeff's site is a great place to learn as well. http://www.tothewoods.net/HammockCamping.html

Yes....Shug has got it going.....he can hang and ride his unicycle and eat poptarts all while juggling his many broken cameras.........
You can spend $200 to 400 dollars on getting yourself set up.....or you can learn to make your own.....
there is many ways to become a hanger....
