    Coast Range, Relaxing

I am no expert in hammocks.. but learning with each hang.

Made a trek to the coast range, for camping. Weather was nice, and warm. Till Next day, winds increased & temps dropped.

Tight Ridge line, sounds like a piano when thumped. Had a Honey bee, or fly. Do a high speed fly by, but hit the ridge line.. TWINGGGGggg.. got a chuckle out of that, as I checked for bee in hammock.. Do not need to be stung...

First thing first.. Hang hammock & Get Cold Beer for the hard work setting up. Relax and enjoy the view, amazing how cozy it was just did not want to get out.. But beer was empty. ugh.. During the relaxing moments, Had a Airplane Fly past, then did a second pass tad lower.. Hmmmm. guessing checking out Camper in a hammock ;-)

learned one thing with tarp & wind plus humidity. TIE IT ALL THE WAY!!!.

only tied the 4 corners.. and added a Biner to the doors to keep them flapping in the breeze. Humidity increased, had condensation on the outside & inside. Wind would kick up.. and make it rain inside the tarp on to hammock.. Yep, Sleeping when drip drip drip.. grumbled, rolled over sides pressed in do to the 5-12 MPH winds.. Face wet now.. wake up.. grumbled some more.. Roll over. Look at time.. 3:20 am.. Get up go water the Bushes, Clear skies & wind.. back to bed. hammock & topquilt were slightly wet. No biggie, daylight will soon arrive to dry things up.

Ugh.. wake up to the sounds of birds Just after 9:00 am.. shesh... Slept like a rock swing in the breeze!!.

short trip, but enjoyed the hammock the best.

Ridge line works great for hanging things, while one sleeps.. Fast access to the items in the wee hours of night. Or Pistol, when required. Need to add Beer cozy holder to it..

    few photos of set up..

Lots of Foxglove, in bloom & Bee's zipping past..

oh yea.. The cold frosty Beer!!..

Duck Chug!!! Inbound jealousy arrow heading your way Great report and pics, thanks. Miserably humid and wet here in Fl, your trip cooled me off a bit.
