Will you be posting a food planning thread so I know what others will be taking/preparing and can plan accordingly? * So far, I am participating in 7 group events between Oct and Feb. **

I just splurged on the Camp Chef Oven w/two top burners, which will be really good for sites without elec. *I ordered a 10' appliance to bulk propane hose but I may have to use the 1 lb canisters. *I removed (reluctantly) the propane from my camper to install a front storage box.*

*I was hoping to buy a plastic/fiberglass 5-10 lb propane tank but one brand has been recalled and the small steel ones are hard to find and super expensive ($80+). *Might bite the bullet if I can find. *Reluctant to haul the camper one in my TV.*

Mentioning this in case anyone ones to bring extra 1lb propane canisters and/or frozen biscuits/cinammon rolls to share. *Really looking forward to this new "toy."

Sandy I am sorry I haven't been able to answer your questions faster. I have been busy at work lately and am getting on the forum once a week right now.

As for food, we will be discussing it more as the hang draws near. I can tell you a few things that we are expecting to happen. Granger will be providing the Friday night meal. I will be whipping up Saturday morning beignet and as far as I know Old River Rat is getting another hog for us to cook up the Saturday evening.

It is physically impossible for me to sleep and sweat at the same time.

Ok I'm in even though LSU is playing Bama that weekend but i'll have a radio so no worries (big LSU fan). My wife and kids want to come as well. I have a 10 gallon black iron jambalaya pot that will cook enough for 200 people (my wife and I cook for Relay For Life every year so not a problem). I can cook for everyone on Sat. night. Please let me know if that will be ok or I can cook or bring something else if we will have too much?

Also methinks Spaceweasel is really ready for this hang lol! Can't wait to meet everyone!

Does this mean that the Cajun Microwave is back in the picture for the pig? If so, Iíll bring the charcoal.

In that case, I definitely qualify to be among you!

Just noticed that there is a calendar where people post hang dates. TX is there but not LA.
