    Titanium Dutch Clips?

Hello all. Are the Titanium Dutch Hooks strictly a ridge line gadget? Can they be used on guy lines or are the Tarp Flyz best for that application?

I'm looking to streamline my setup and I'm uncertain which of the 2 would serve best for tightening and securing my guy lines (1.75mm Zing-It) so any insight would be much appreciated.

Dutch Hooks? Dutch clips would be for the hammock suspension. I think it all depends on your creativity. I would think the flyz would work better for guy lines. Personally I just do the Shug method and tie loops at intervals then hook it on my stake.

How would you use them on your guylines? I can't see any use for them on guylines. For easy guyline adjustment look in the DIY forum for Shanes method. Doesn't get any easier.

Sorry...got my Dutchware mixed up...I meant Titanium Dutch Hooks. Its the only thing on Dutch's site that doesn't have an accompanying demo but the description says it is for ridge lines.

I use a hook on one end and a tarp fly on the other. It allows me to center the tarp over my hammock.

I think the OP is asking about using them on guylines not ridgeline.

    Re: Titanium Dutch Clips?

Personally I can't see a use for them on the guylines, maybe if you wanted to wrap the line round the stake then clip to a prussic, don't know why a taught line hitch wouldn't be easier though? Flys would work well.

I am using the method warbonnetguy shows on his setup vid, it's working ok but I'll be changing it soonish.

    re: Titanium Dutch Hooks

Thanks everyone. I don't know why but I was envisioning a Figure 9 type of function. Being a former tarp camper I rarely used guy lines at all. I was either in lean-to mode or staked to the ground on 2 or 3 sides for inclement weather.

Self-tensioners don't appeal to me except maybe on the pullouts and although I can tie a dozen or so knots in my sleep, I've grown weary of them. I'll explore the appropriate HF sub-forum for further info.
