Thumbs up Got my new GT UL...

Got my GT hammock in the mail today. Can't wait to check it out... Still need to come up with the tree straps and lines but, i'm getting closer to my first hang!!! Woot!
It's not the glide in the ride, it's the swing in the sling...

    Congratulations! I've enjoyed mine.

Finding the right suspension combo took me a long time but I've settled on UCRs.

    Got my new GT UL...

Try Arrowhead Equipment for straps, toggles and whoopie slings all in one package. Decent price and easy to use. I have the Nano and that's my setup.

If you have any old ratchet straps, cutting a few feet off them would work great

What he said. That's the same thing I've done and I have no problems. You could even go to Home Depot and get some steel rings rated to at least 200 lbs and use the same type of buckles that I do.

    - Nonsense. You only say that because no one ever has.

Howdy from out in Fredneck! I liked my GTUL OK, but I found I needed the extra length of the GT Single to get a good night's sleep.

Good choice for getting started. I have 2 and have used both on overnight trips. As time goes on though you may want to upgrade to an eleven foot hammock for more comfort.

I remember taking my UL while tent camping on every trip. Good value. Used it as a seat, napping spot and just to get gear off the ground!

I thought about using one of GTUL as a gear hammock. I might give it a go at the Winter NEHHA just to see how it works out.
