First hang on the SHT
Had a chance to make a run up north with my wife and the pup to do a trial run for a trip we are planning the end of September. Weather turned out to be cold and wet for July. It bottomed out at 39 deg! But we learned a lot about how far we can expect to go per day and some areas in our equipment we need to work on before we try it again. Wanted to try another night, but it started raining again and I got the look from the Mrs. and after 19 years I know if we are to do this more not to push it now. But she enjoyed it and we are looking forward to more.
We started out at Silver Bay, were planning on going to Palisade creek, but met up with some folks at Bear Lake that were heading south. Said everything was already full up that way. So we doubled back to the Penn Creek site.
Whooooo Buddy and Betty)))))) 39º in July. I love that you never know what the weather will do up there. Does get a bit crowded on weekends on that section.
Way to get on out there.
