I have a feeling this thread is going to grow by leaps and bounds very quickly...
I'm so ready and excited to get back to Florida and see everyone again! Every time I talk about going to hangs...this is the hang I refer to as one of the best one I've ever been too!! Great people, great food and a beautiful campground. Ugh, I wish it were January already CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!
And a warm welcome for you both down here. We can't wait to see you both as the newlyweds this upcoming hang. Congrats again to you both.
Did I say "you both" enough?
Just came in from sitting around a beautiful fire at 69 degrees here in Maine and contemplating a beautiful star filled hang at 55 degrees and now I'm faced with thoughts of Florida and having to return in a month. Thank You, Gumbo! All in, all signed up and as always can't wait.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
Olddog, we missed having you in camp at the "no underquilts hang".
It seems as though you want to be in Maine, we keep pulling down here with all the thoughts of being in the Florida Pines.
We have enough room for 200+ hangers and also will throw in a clearing for all the Turtledog stands that you want to bring, just because we can cause that's how we roll. We can keep old4hats and wife company there.
I should have two Turtle Dogs stands built by then. The materials have been sitting on the floor of my garage for about five months now. Gumbo & I are gonna try to build a set up like Old Four Hats'. We'll have to see how well it turns out.
So many trees, so little time...
We follow where the Swamp Fox guides,
His friends and merry men are we;
And when the troop of Tarleton rides,
We burrow in the cypress tree.
The turfy hammock is our bed,
Our home is in the red deer's den,
Our roof, the tree-top overhead,
For we are wild and hunted men.
God willing and the creek don't rise (or snow storms don't hit) I'll be there!
